I’m Linsey Lindberg, small business owner and host of the podcast.
As a long time entrepreneur, business owner and a budding podcaster I’ve made it my mission to ensure small businesses in Texas make it through the economic recovery period of the pandemic. I hope my contribution as a connection-point for small business owners across the State mean that we will have access to new resources, ideas, markets, and B2B contacts. Together we are stronger than we are alone. Deep dive with me as we find ways to help us all survive, thrive and inspire in this new Texas focused podcast.
Expertizes
Small Business Owner
In 2014 I opened shop at Artisan Oddities Entertainment, a solo-run, female owned small business in Central Texas. At AOE we create magic experiences and memories for the people of Texas, businesses and brands by producing entertainment for large scale events, festivals, corporate programs and brand launches.
Big Picture Thinking
One gift I’ve always had is the ability to think about the big questions and tease out different answers and options from complex problems. I believe in knowing the reality of a situation and simultaneously dreaming up what the best possible world would look like if only I believed anything was possible. Sometimes opportunities are disguised as set-backs, the only thing that changes is your perspective on the situation. I hope to share this optimism and show how it applies to real situations.
Podcast Enthusiast
I have been a podcast lover and production enthusiast since the early days of podcasting. Some of my favorites include: Heavyweight, Invisibilia, Criminal, Boomtown, Throughline, The Daily, More Perfect, Radiolab, This American Life and many more.
Guinness World Record Holder
As a 5 time Guinness World Record winner, I (literally) crushed the competition with true feats of strength! My records are for: Most telephone books torn in half by a woman in 1 min, most frying pans rolled up by a woman in 1 min, most apples crushed in the bicep in 1 min, and most decks of playing cards torn in half in 1 min! These strange feats of strength put me in the Guinness World Record book, allowed me to be featured on many TV programs and magazines across the world and allowed me to travel to exotic places breaking things for over a decade!
